Meet Becky Todd, a Site Acquisition Manager in the Pacific Northwest region. Since 2023, she has been handling land use, permitting, and leasing for our team in Northern California.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CAREER PATH AND WHAT LED YOU TO YOUR CURRENT ROLE?
I fell into wireless accidentally, as many people do. I have a JD, and after graduation I tried family law (hated it). So, through a friend, I got into wireless by doing NSD leasing and land use in PNW. I worked for a few other consulting companies before coming to Network Connex.
WHAT KINDS OF EDUCATION OR ON THE JOB TRAINING HAVE HELPED YOU BE SUCCESSFUL IN YOUR CURRENT JOB?
Academically, I studied property, contracts, and both legal and creative writing. This helped me understand the structure of government entities, how codes function, and the rights and responsibilities of parties. When I started in wireless, I had the chance to watch how sites came together and to follow successful examples for working through tasks.
WHAT CHARACTERISTICS DO YOU THINK ARE NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN YOUR ROLE?

Patience for digging into details, doing research and being prepared, and resilient thinking when it comes to solving problems.
WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY AT WORK LOOK LIKE FOR YOU?
I’m currently working on small cell, microwave systems, and site hardening projects and similar to everyone else my days are a mix of working on projects, emails, and calls/meetings.
HOW DO YOU LIKE TO SPEND YOUR TIME OUTSIDE OF WORK?

As hobbies, I am a gardener (veggies), love to cook, and still play coed soccer once a week. My partner Chris and I live in a beautiful place in Washington, very near Snoqualmie Falls, so we get out and about in nature a lot.
Nature frequently comes to us too! We do a lot of elk-watching in our yard (don’t worry – the veggie garden is securely fenced). Mostly, we walk the trails in the Snoqualmie Valley, with occasional trips to the mountains or coast. We have a black lab, EmmyLou, and she is our sidekick for just about all of it.
TELL US A FUN OR SURPRISING FACT ABOUT YOU!
In high school, we played one pre-season soccer game where my mark assignment was Julie Foudy, and she did not score (her senior year, glory not to be repeated). IYKYK.
