TELL US ABOUT YOUR CAREER PATH AND WHAT LED YOU TO YOUR CURRENT ROLE?
My path into telecom infrastructure actually came through my interest in Human Resources rather than the industry itself. I was looking for an opportunity where I could make a meaningful impact on both employees and the business, and Network Connex provided exactly that.
WHAT KINDS OF EDUCATION OR ON THE JOB TRAINING HAVE HELPED YOU BE SUCCESSFUL IN YOUR CURRENT JOB?
My education has provided a strong foundation for my career in Human Resources. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, which helped me understand human behavior, communication, and workplace dynamics, and an MBA with a concentration in Human Resource Management, where I gained knowledge in strategic HR, employment law, talent management, and organizational leadership. Together, these experiences have equipped me to effectively support employees while aligning HR practices with business goals.
WHAT CHARACTERISTICS DO YOU THINK ARE NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN YOUR ROLE?
To be successful as an HR Generalist, I believe you need strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to build trust, and a high level of integrity since you are often handling sensitive and confidential information. Organization, adaptability, and problem-solving are also essential because every day brings new priorities and challenges.
WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY AT WORK LOOK LIKE FOR YOU?
A typical day in my role is fast-paced and always changing. I support employees and managers with a variety of HR needs, including onboarding, employee relations, payroll, and compliance.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT WHAT YOU DO?
What I love most about my job is that no two days are ever the same. I enjoy the variety and the opportunity to support employees throughout their careers while helping managers navigate different challenges.
HOW DO YOU LIKE TO SPEND YOUR TIME OUTSIDE OF WORK?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. One of my favorite hobbies is reading, so you’ll often find me curled up somewhere with my Kindle. I’m also a big sports fan, especially when it comes to hockey, so I try to make it to as many games as I can throughout the season.

TELL US A FUN OR SURPRISING FACT ABOUT YOU!
A fun fact about me is that I was a Division I college volleyball player. It was an incredible experience that gave me the opportunity to travel across the country while competing at a high level. It also grew my love of sports and traveling.
