TELL US ABOUT YOUR CAREER PATH AND WHAT LED YOU TO YOUR CURRENT ROLE?
I am very new to this industry. I initially became interested in the opportunity because I was looking for a role where I could build my sales and business development skills while working with customers in a growing industry. As I learned more about Network Connex and the telecom infrastructure space, I became fascinated by how much of our connected world depends on the networks and infrastructure operating behind the scenes.
WHAT KINDS OF EDUCATION OR ON THE JOB TRAINING HAVE HELPED YOU BE SUCCESSFUL IN YOUR CURRENT JOB?
I graduated from Illinois Wesleyan with a Business Administration Degree in 2023 and completed my MBA from Illinois State University in 2025. Besides my formal education, the experiences that have helped me most in my career have come from working in sales, event coordination, and customer engagement roles. Those opportunities taught me how to build relationships, communicate effectively with different audiences, and understand what matters most to customers.
WHAT CHARACTERISTICS DO YOU THINK ARE NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN YOUR ROLE?
I think adaptability, competitiveness, resilience, and a willingness to learn are what help me to be successful in my role. No two days are exactly the same, so being able to adjust, think on your feet, and embrace new challenges is incredibly important. I’m naturally competitive, which pushes me to set goals, stay motivated, and continuously look for ways to improve. Most importantly, I believe having a willingness to learn makes all the difference. The industry is constantly evolving, and there’s always something new to understand about our customers, our solutions, or the market. I enjoy that challenge because it keeps things interesting and creates opportunities for growth every day.
WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY AT WORK LOOK LIKE FOR YOU?
It is difficult to give a run down on what my typical work day looks like because no two days are exactly alike, but that is also is what I really enjoy about this position. Some days are focused on prospecting and starting new conversations, while others involve collaborating with teammates, strategizing on opportunities, or diving deeper into industry trends and customer challenges.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT WHAT YOU DO?
I love being the first point of connection and helping turn an initial conversation into a meaningful opportunity. There’s a lot of satisfaction in taking something from that early stage of interest and helping move it forward toward a successful outcome for the customer. I also enjoy that this role pushes me to be adaptable, resilient, and creative, and there’s a great sense of accomplishment when hard work and persistence turn into meaningful opportunities for the team.
HOW DO YOU LIKE TO SPEND YOUR TIME OUTSIDE OF WORK?

Outside of work, I love spending time with my friends and family, but with or without them, I like to stay on the move. Whether it’s working out, hiking, or playing volleyball, I’m happiest when I’m active and a little competitive. A lot of my free time also revolves around my mini dachshund, who keeps life interesting. Whether we’re out for a walk, exploring somewhere new, or just hanging out at home, she’s usually right by my side. I like to keep a good balance of staying active, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with the people (and pets!) that matter most. If there’s fresh air, good company, and a dog involved, I’m probably having a great day!!
